Sunrise over the Paddock

This painting comes from a photo taken the last time I was in Germany in 2019 to visit my family. I always went for a morning walk very early due to jet lag, it was November and already pretty cold, and the sunrises were stunning. I wanted to capture the light in my painting, those beautiful colours when the sun was just coming out and flowing over the landscape.

Oil painting on stretched canvas. Premium 340 gm cotton duck attached to a quality pine stretcher frame and includes gallery style folded corners. Canvas edges are 3 cm thick and the painting continues around the edges to allow hanging without a frame.
